Doing research for current/upcoming iPhone 3Gs and 4G. Wasn't surprised to discover Apple doesn't have any SDK's for Windows or Linux. Closed shop OS X and that's that. Also wasn't surprised that IBM has extended it's iPhone development solutions to Windows and Linux using something called CDT with open source tools. At this time, don't ask me. The GODS are in battle. MS's 7 is taking off. Same for Apple iPad, iPhone, iPod. Google's Android? IBM and the open source crowd that includes FireFox and Thunderbird? The list goes on. Yo, competition at Fortune 1000 level is VERY intense and it affects all of us. Studied Apple's 101 iPhone web site. So you have to start at the Cocoa Touch level and drill down thru the Media, Core Services and Core OS via a SDK. My vote goes towards IBM remembering OS2 Warp. Which by the way Comet worked!!
