Ok Robert. We've met a couple of times. Hawaii. Vegas. You obviously don't remember me or you would know that your explanation is way over my head. I'm just a simple low key programmer in Arkansas.
I googled parsing pdf to text, email, etc...bunch of applications for sale that do it for you. Lots of folks trying to figure this out in VB and other applications. So I guess I am not the lone ranger.
So much I don't understand.
I have a pdf file and Comet doesn't know about it. The file is created in a mtb program printing to "pdffactory" as the printer using "Document=" which doesn't make a qdir entry. So how do I open it in Comet? If/when I get the file open what length record am I reading? Base64? What am I base64'n?
I know I have to read the pdf file somehow - interpret the data read - convert it - then write it email control file. I just don't understand how to get from point a to point z.
Can I even accomplish this task in Comet(2004)?
I am limited to the abilities of Comet2004 is the only reason I am going down this road.
Thank you for the time you spent on this. If I don't understand then I never will if I don't ask the questions.
Regards, Herb.
