Ok, finally got it to work.

pdfFactory stores the pdf file name in the registry file.

Here is the link on how to create batch files to insert the necessary records into the registry file:

I created a batch file after opening the pdfFactory printer to insert the name of the file I wanted as the pdf file. Using the launch command I launched the batch file.

Then I built the pdf file.

After closing the printer I created another batch file to reset the settings in the registry file.

On Windows 2000 machines you will most likely have to install the Windows 2000 support tools from the CD to access "reg.exe" since it not normally installed on new installations.

Here is the link on how to intall the tools:

This is definitely not the way to go about performing the task of sending out pdf files as attachments to emails. I am doing this only because my options are limited to the resources I currently have available. I have spent weeks getting this to work as several of you know. This job took less than an hour using the "emailptr" in "Comet 2009".

If there are other unfortunate souls out there that have to follow this same path I hope I will have saved you some time as this has not been pleasant.
