gdiplus.dlx error - cannot run Comet

I have been running Comet 2009 Build 406 for almost a year with out issue. Two nodes run Cosw.exe and four nodes run comet.exe I have no idea why they all do not run the same executable.

This morning three workstations that launch Comet.exe display the following Dialog message from Comet Launcher

J:\comet\gdiplus.dlx - file not found. [OK].

and Comet will not run.

One work station that launches Comet.exe was left running over the weekend and worked fine until I closed comet and relaunched. The work station displayed the same GDIPLUS.DLX dialog box.

I changed the work stations to all launch cosw.exe and Comet launches without error.

Can somebody tell me what happened?
