Keith:
Your overlapping the "Windows Development Liabrary" and Comet32.
WDL gives us the ability to write IB programs using Windows controls (lists, text boxes, etc). There are two methods, in IB, that can be used. Direct creation and control of Windows controls and control via a DLL created in Visual Studio oe some other Windows developent environment. I tried some programs using the direct method and found it impossible to make the screen and controls appear the same from user to user. Docmgr was done the direct way. I didn't like the inconsistencies and switched to using Visual Studio to do my screens and controls. Attached is a copy of my WDL version of the Z menu. You can click the program name (EasyScan replacement), type in the program name, and the Hyper links are now buttons at the bottom of the screen.
Comet32 is the change to eliminate the old 16bit, mostly pre-Windows, core of Comet and make Comet Workstation viable on 64bit OS's. Sig's plan is to expand the capabilities of IB with new features and to eliminate Qantel legacy support. Like Image, QIC, background, and spooler.
Unless you using one of the going-away features, all your programs should work under Comet32.
