I encountered same issue. Cleared file of remote machine IDs at an end-user in order to get new, clean file with accurate locations & user names. I was first to connect to their CA Host from our office, I let the CA update go through. My next run of local Comet on our in-house network generated this same error. I re-installed 423 and was good to go.
