Whew! I finally can see the problem you are having. It involves passing system variables between programs compiled with Cosm32 and those compiled with IB.

If I have 3 programs, bb32 and bb32a are compiled as 32 bit programs. bb16 is a 16 bit program. The problem appears if we RUN bb32 which ENTERS bb16 which RUNSbb32a which EXITS.

I will try to have this fixed for the next release.

I know that it may be a real pain to get us test programs to reproduce problems like this, but issues like this can never be resolved if we don't keep trying.
