Since I've been awakened, I've jumped into the frying pan. Client's using/upgrading/downgrading XP, Server 2000 thru 2003/R2? I'm using that plus 2008 and trying to install 64 2008/R2 (not done yet, MSDN is more difficult now. CD's aren't delivered by mail anymore). Have 32/64 7 so I'm ready to do some testing. There's the hardware side and software side of arguments. Year-end push to close clients out. I'm swamped!! But have plan. Came from hardware environment. Remember QANTEL?? Now APPLE?? Got my iPhone and iMax. Wanting to invest some time in re-inventing Q type devices for Comet via Apple. If you have a past 32 hardware investment you want to protect, order 32 hardware pc's with 32 XP. It still works with 7/2008 32 networks. As you drift toward 64 things get more difficult. A virtualized XP on the iMac can't print to a parallel/serial printer.
