I am told that a program compiled under a comet 32 environment will not run in a comet 16 environment. I have 2 dilemmas. I was considering upgrading my computer to a windows 7 machine (64 bit). My problem is that most of my support clients are running comet 16. Is there a way to compile a program that will run on a comet 16 machine while under comet 32? I am guessing not. I can see another problem rearing it's ugly head. I am told that you can mix comet 32 and comet 16 machines on the same network. The reporter (or view manager or dx) does a compile before executing. And if an object file is found, then comet will just run the found object instead of doing a re-compile. If a report is created or changed on a comet 32 machine but a comet 16 user then tries to run that same spec, will the comet 16 user blow up?
