different problem arose...
have two systems (PROD/TEST)... the "short list" problem occured on the TEST system... furthermore was able to get CometEx to create the appropriate file. However, failed on first write (from an IB program) with EXCP=4 (write to Keyed file without index) (I checked... there is both a file and file.I00, so that EXCP must be for the WRITE statement)
so... I tried to see what happens on my PROD system, since it's easy for me to use the print screen function (the TEST system goes to a remote place via emulation, PROD is direct). On the PROD system, CometEX won't come up (I've posted that screenshot below)
Thanx for the "heads-up" about deIMAGEing my files via CometEx... I was actually thinking that after deIMAGEing my files (with a regular IB/MTB program), I can upgrade to COMET32 and get the "latest and greatest" (including CometEX later than V1.2))... I was not planning to try to accomplish the deIMAGEing with CometEx.
the two system approach (TEST/PROD) is to avoid run-away programs corrupting the PROD database.
Each file can be a maximum of 1MB in length Uploaded files will be purged from the server on a regular basis.
