I don't see a problem with you changing the archive files to multi-keyed files. As a matter of fact, if you'd like I'll write a sample program to convert the file and put it in XTL. Then you can modify it to make secondary keys out of whatever fields you want. The only trick is that you have to decide when to run the conversion program. You'd want to make certain nobody was either using DocMgr or running programs that are printing to archive printers when you run it.
