I am Patrick Lawler and used to get your update information by e-mail
from Bryce. I understand he is no longer with your company. We have been
using Qantel and Comet programs since 1982. What we have now is very custom
to our needs, with Barb Pragar being the latest programmer.
What I am after is another contact for programming needs. Barb is still
our main programmer and will be until she finally decides to retire. We
would like to start to "break" in a new programmer to get ready for this
time in the future. This way Barb can help to bring this new person up to
speed.
We are also looking for an existing time sheet program that may run on
Comet but doesn't have to. If you are aware of any time sheet packages let
me know or have them make contact with me. The needs of our time sheet
program include the following:
* multiple locations
* same person could work from the different location during the day
* need to track the start time on a piece of equipment or truck,
* may switch trucks or equipment several times during the day
* may be tracked by different dispatchers during the day
* record any lunch breaks
* put in an end time for each truck or equipment and the final end
time for the day
* gather all of this time information to one location and run an error
check for different start and stop times from different dispatchers
* download this information into our existing time program under Comet.

Any help in these areas would be greatly appreciated. Currently we are
still using Comet for Payroll, General Ledger, and Payables. Sales and
receivables are being handled by Systech, a dispatching software program.
We just enter the sales into the General Ledger at the end of the month.
We see Comet as the hub to many different modules that we may buy "off
the shelf" for the needs of our various departments change.
