Is is possible not to erase the log file when starting comet if the /log statement is used in the target line? I've had a customer who recently had some comet anywhere hangs, where the operator at the host site restarts comet to get the anywhere sessions working again prior to calling me, yet when I go in to check the log, of course the information that caused the hang has been erased. I can understand resetting it if the /log statement is not present, but it would be most helpful, at least in my opinion, in troubleshooting if the /log is present, then the log would continue to grow.
