Thanx to Carl and Grant

I just have never used DIRCAT in QTILITY... being able to select only OBJ and ASM does the trick!

my contribution would be to use a DOS utility that I use a lot (FINDSTRing):

CD F:\R.D.ACKER

(where the txt file lives that I created with DIRCAT called txt456.txt)

FINDSTR /C:" 756 " TXT456.TXT > DIRCAT.FOR.OBJ.TXT

(this will find every line with " 756 " in it and pipe it out to DIRCAT.for.OBJ.txt)

then I can play with this in COMET or Excel or whatever.

Thanx again

Bob "A"
