Hi All, End-user Christopher Norman called to report two bad files
in his spooler. I retrieved the bad files and a good file and opened
them up in Hex Edit. The good file had a valid "header" portion ( the
part before the actual report characters ). The bad file had a valid
spool file number that matched its file name, 00004675, but all other
"header" values were @20@. The end-user said he was printing a range of pages from the file when the problem arose. They are running
Windows server products 03.03 and Comet 2002 320 02.02 They have
subscribed to Comet2004 and will be getting their upgrade installed
within the next 4 - 8 weeks. I used HexEdit to put back semi-valid info back into the file so that he could access it and get a printout
so there's no emergency. Tom.
