which version confusion

For clarity, I'd like to see some kind of nomenclature to describe what version an OBJ and Comet apply. Something like Comet.445 plus 16/16, 16/32, and 32/32. Thus "Comet445 16/32" would be a 16bit OBJ run under Comet32. Other ideas?
