When a Comet user starts, their CFG is loaded into memory. So, as long as they stay in Comet, any change to their CFG has not effect.

For safety, you might copy the INI file to a temporary directory and see if you can get SYSGEN to build the new CFG's there. Then you can move yours back to the normal directory (via Windows) and flush the others.
