Here's what's up. For Pennsylvania, local income tax collection is no longer done at the municipal tax level. 1st level is a private company that is hired to collect taxes on behalf of pre-defined agreed districts. So district MOUNTAIN SIDE comprises multiple townships with each township having it's own taxing authority. On the employer level, all local taxes must be withheld and not relying on employee Y-T-D reporting. So what to do? 2nd level is the local taxing authority. 3rd level is the employee. So, have to develop an electronically generated export file that communicates PSD codes (Political SubDivision codes) for all employees. This will involve entry sheets that all employees must fill out and submit. It identifies the employee/employer to the local tax collection system. So I got 4 months to complete this. I'll make it!!
