Comet 446/18 REL.UTL 11.08. Win7 Ultimate
Moving files from CH2 to PAC.
After last error posting, I rebuilt the QDIR of CH2 (200 files or so). This time I've also done a rebuild of the QDIR of PAC (6000 + files).
I also made a Windows copy of CH2 if that would help.
1) moved several sets of CED files - OK
2) sorted by type and selected a batch of OBJ files - CometEx hung (see CometEx1). Unable to move or close the dialog. While loading SnippingTool and Task Manager, CometEx popped up with several "Out of Memory" messages (see CometEx2). Clicked OK on messages. CometEx advanced to a "Move error (see CometEx3). "Try Again" would just blink and "Skip" did nothing. "Cancel" freed up CometEx and the list didn't clear. A FIRST!!!
3) I closed CometEx, and since Comet wasn't dead, reloaded CometEx. ANOTHER FIRST!!! I was able to complete the move of the remaining OBJ files. I did a move of a group of IBS files - OK. Then a group of CED files. This move hung CometEx with a "Server Busy" message and CometEx and Comet had to be killed off with Task Manager.
4) Captured the memory CometEx was using. (see CometEx5). Is 408MB excessive?
Each file can be a maximum of 1MB in length Uploaded files will be purged from the server on a regular basis.
