I read somewhere that the Jews, beseiged at Masada, raided the Roman camp and feed maggoty meat to the sacrificial animals in an attempt to "spook" the Roman soldiers.

There is/was a decompiler for QIC to source. Maybe someone can still do one for you. Then again you may get a maggoty mess.
