It depends.

If you are using Windows Printing then you should use the Windows commands (Windows drivers won't let any PCL commands thru).

If you use a laster printer in DOS or :RAW mode, then your method should work, but you may want to begin your print format with a (TR) Set Transparent Print Mode.

You may also want to expand your font selection to include these:

Esc (s1P - 0-proportional spacing, 1-fixed spacing
Esc ( - followed by the symbol set (search for PCL Symbol Set). So you get DOS or Windows characters (graphics?)
also,
Esc (snT - where 'n' is the typeface, you can pick different typeface, most are linked to the proportional/fixed spacing, so selecting incompatible ones will cause the printer to "choose" the font. I personally like the LetterGothic character set which is a nicely proportioned fixed spacing character set. Some use Lucida Console, I personally find it too wide for the height.

I would also recommend that you send an Esc E before you start, it is a PCL reset.

Let me know if you need more assistance with the PCL escape sequences, I've used them pretty heavily on all sort of printers.

I would, however, encourage you to use the Windows mnemonics. It is a frustrating learning curve but it is the way to go and has the big advantage of being printer independent. This something to consider when most "cheap" laser printers coming out do not, or only partially do, support PCL codes.
