A quick way to get started on Windows printing is to set up a COSWGLOB.INI with the following ...
[Comet]
ExclusiveINI = 0 ; No[Printer Fonts]
Font-0=Lucida Console, 12, 17, 0, 6
Font-1=Lucida Console, 12, 17, 0, 6
Font-2=Lucida Console, 12, 10, 0, 6
Font-11=Lucida Console, 12, 11, 0, 6
Font-12=Lucida Console, 12, 12, 0, 6
Font-13=Lucida Console, 12, 13, 0, 6
Font-14=Lucida Console, 12, 14, 0, 6
Font-15=Lucida Console, 12, 15, 0, 6
Font-16=Lucida Console, 12, 16, 0, 6
Font-17=Lucida Console, 12, 17, 0, 6
Font-18=Lucida Console, 12, 18, 0, 6
Font-19=Lucida Console, 12, 19, 0, 6
Font-20=Lucida Console, 12, 20, 0, 6
I use Lucida Console but any fixed font will do. Proportional fonts won't work. Trust me :)
Font 0-2 are the ones you can set via the File/Set Printer Font. With CoSWGLOB.INI 0-2 are set automatically for all new users.
The font you want is accessed using (SelectSysFont = font-number). (The documention doesn't tell you that you can go beyond 0-2. IMHO Comet's default settings for Font 0 should be 17cpi. Not 10cpi. A big majority of "green bar" 10 cpi reports become lazerized by haveing Font 0 = 17cpi. Zero code changes.
(SelectSysFont = font-number) took care of 90% or more of my print programs where I needed to switch cpi.
95-99% converted to lazer. Then it's on to the toughter stuff (invoices, checks, etc). 99% of the work :)
Each file can be a maximum of 1MB in length Uploaded files will be purged from the server on a regular basis.
