anyway, since I don't have UE, I looked with Notepad++.... not bad for a "freebie"... ( http://notepad-plus-plus.org/ ) and saw lots of unprintables... I'll simply assume XREF is not working, and go on my wey

on the other hand... I have posted another question about "mass compiles" that I sould like to resolve that issue, if at all possible
