I've stuck with NOTEPAD++ for a coupla years now... it's like most everything, I'm only using a small fraction of the features.
for now, I'm going to find out how to do "projects" so that I can group my work better.
I seem to have sparked a lively discussion... but suffice it to say that I (almost) always proceed without "mass updates" since I try to document the before and after snapshots.
I've seen true "source control systems" that save every change with a timestamp so that you can re-construct and back-out changes should you require this.
for the level and volume of updates I do... NOTEPAD++ is just fine, coupled with "mass compiles" in MTB (which had a small bug that lay dormant for decades until I uncovered it, and which has now been fixed in Comet 449)
actually, if I could figure out how MTB is integrated with UE, and how much work that takes, I'd do the same for NOTEPAD++
