I am installing CometAnywhere on a 64bit Win7Pro Lenovo laptop. When I run Comet, it says "Windows cannot find 'C:\Program Files(x86)\Signature Systems, Inc\CometAnywhere\vcredist_x86.exe'. Looking at the programs, it had 2005, 2008, and 2010 redistributables all installed. I removed all of them, and tried installing the redistributables again (both 32 & 64 bit at separate times), and then tried installing CometAnywhere again, and it still fails.
1. Should I be using the 32 or 64 bit version of the redistributables on this 64 bit machine?
2. What puts the vcredist_x86 file in the Comet directory? Is COMET.EXE supposed to do that?
3. What else can I try to get this to work? I've setup multiple 64 bit Win7Pro machines recently with CometAnywhere, without incident.
Any suggestions?
Thanks
