Thanks for the info Barb. Based on what Jim wrote in that post, I've discovered a third option that worked perfectly. Simply right-clicking on the Comet Anywhere shortcut, and clicking "Run as Administrator" successfully allowed the client to update. I'm already an administrator on the local machine here, but I've seen instances where doing this resolves a number of issues.

Hope this works for others as well.
