Act 32 stuff was due Jan 1st. Still debugging it one month into it. I'll succeed. Have possible new account that will require Comet32. Believe it or not I stumbled on a sales potential client using Windows 7 32/64 peer-to-peer mix where each member PC maps into each other. Remember those days? Almost back in Q land. Advised using a Windows Server 2003/2008. Will stay away from 2008/R2 this time. Client asked can server be used by operator? I said no. Server side computing is not user friendly and it affects everyone. Newbie employees should never be assigned a Server Pc. Don't you still agree? Newest problem I've come across that's not Comet related is video. Video can come from anywhere. Older security camera's use AVI. Need to burn a DVD/CD video and using XP/Vista/Apple/Linux/Mobile/Security camera mix for police/insurance companies? The wild, wild west. I'll post later what I've found. Still figuring it out. It's not drag and drop. Lot's of 3rd party stuff. The younger crowd is increasingly mobile. Mobile phones/tablets are the new TV. Take a picture/video with your smart phone/tablet and sync with PC/iStuff and utube it. If you're still on XP, Windows Media Player 11 is your best bet. The good stuff is Media Player 12 which is available on Vista/7. Can virtually play any video from AVI to present. There are CODEC exceptions. Personally find Windows Media Player 12 difficult and not elder user friendly. I don't like using it. Play lists on MS's or Apple's terms? Today's Satellite/Cable TV is elder. Future is internet TV with it's thousands of options? I'm in.
