Steve,
I have been working with Stan lately to make sure his xap programs run correctly on Comet32. We have made quite a lot of headway in the last week. The most serious problem left seems to be with passing common between pages. This is somewhat risky and not completely tested at this time.
I left a pre release copy of comet 458 in download/mailboxes for you to test. Please try it.
Are you using common in your xap programs? If so, all programs MUST be compiled with byte alignment turned ON. Are all programs compiled with c32, or are they mixed?
Please understand that we are debugging some pretty detailed issues with xap having to do with how the pages look with various browsers etc. Nothing like what I imagine you are seeing. I really do not understand what you mean by:
Running XAP objects compiled under Comet 16 I get the following message when I launch my App:
MIME-verion: 1.0
Server: Comet XAP WWW Server
Accepting connections from Localhost only.
My system here is set up as a "local host only" xap server and runs just fine.
I am ready to help.
There is a program we supply called "cgitest" that should be placed in your xap directory. When you specify that as the URL, what does comet say? What is in the log?
Each file can be a maximum of 1MB in length Uploaded files will be purged from the server on a regular basis.
