Thanks Barb. Here's the story - I installed your update and ran the conversion again. This time it displayed short name with blanks after it. I had a feeling that the issue had something to do with the fact that my connection to their system is to their server. The server is configured in a strange way that I haven't been able to figure out yet, but I think the bottom line is that in some ways Comet running on the server gets confused between the drive mapping and the UNC name. To test this I connected to a user PC and ran the conversion Utility. Voila, everything converted properly. So I'm all set and will start avoiding the connection to the server unless I need to be there. Thanks again for the assistance with both this issue and Kerry Joyce.
