Jim,
The purpose of including the compiled listing for this problem was so that you could follow the last 5 user addresses I provided. Maybe I was not clear that the program was supposed to report an EXCP 32 as INBR$ is not in the file I was reading.
The 5th to last user address shows the line
READ(I1A,0200) KEY=INBR$,EXCP=9400
The last user address shows the line
ERROR
Following the 5 user addresses clearly show that EXCP Info I received is erroneous.
I ran a much simpler program compiled under Comet 32 that reported the EXCP 32. In the simpler program EXCP Reporting was correct. The Lun, File Name, File Directory and Key were reported correctly.
The mega program that generates the error message that contains incorrect info "ENTERS" another program.
The simpler program that generates the correct error message info does not "ENTER" another program.
Perhaps the ENTER command corrupts error reporting in Comet 32 Compiled Programs.
That's the best I can do for now.
