Comet2004 not running on Windows 98 machines

Comet Message reads "Unrecognised System Platform (Windows Version). An upgrade to Comet or Windows may be warranted."

I do not remember seeing anything about Comet2004 being designed not to run on Windows 98 machines and I cannot find anything on the website. ??
