Since the .419 version of Comet they are running, Comet.exe has been rewritten and now includes an improved algorithm for detecting if MS Redistributables are required. If required, it will install them. And, since we now recommend running the full Comet install even for CA clients, that's what I would recommend. Furthermore, because Win 7 systems can't write to the Program Files folder, we recommend doing the install to a folder such as C:\Comet. Of course this means changing the shortcuts on each client too.
