I've mentioned this in the past. For financials and payroll I do a Comet dir create and snap-shot the dir before I actually close it. The payroll dir's go back to f:\comet\data\2002-11 thru today's f:\comet\data\2012-04. Via SuperNova, I've developed a point and click date selection so you can go back in time to any accounting period for inquiry. I've got a current problem of finding .20 imbalance between the A/P Trial Balance Totals and the G/L Accounts Payable Account # balance. So, go back in time to discover .20 cents!!
