Changing object dates after re-building QDIR

following the encouragement of CometWoman... I've decided to deploy around 200 programs not with DOSCOPY but with a copy to a directory folder and then re-building the QDIR with CometEx

I noticed that all the Creation Dates were changed to today

does the re-build in CometEx only update the object dates for the objects I am actually adding to QDIR?

I'd hate to wipe out all the creation dates in my main program directory (at least 13 years worth) just because I ran re-build in CometEx.
