True enough. But if he's going to Win2008 R2 server he should seriously be considering hyper-V or, alternatively, ESXi VMWare. With Hyper-V he could have W2008 R2 base and a hyper-V W2008 standard, the arrangement would need an external USB device for the plug. VMWare handles the plug with the on-board USB.
