Sorry for not responding sooner. I tracked this issue and it is very clear. We cannot do a excpsub on a print because we can't locate the end of the print list reliably. C32 CAN deal with a format correctly. This has to do with the way each comet version deals with print lists. Recall that c32 can handle expressions in print lists.
