The best way to support for Android (at least from my perspective) is to develop via XAP and using something like PhoneGap (see the attached link). Using the AJAX comet library and external plugins like jQuery make for a nice mobile experience, regardless of the device.

That's how I've been developing towards the mobile environment with Comet anyhow.
