OK, then I suggest you try upgrading to the latest version of Comet 2000. You indicate that you're running version .291. The latest version is .308. You can download it from our website:
http://www.signature.net/download/Comet2000/
It may also be wise for you to upgrade to the latest version of the file server if you are using it. You'll have to fix the file again after the Comet upgrade. If the problem persists, send us your Comet.ini file, a copy of the startup details from a workstation that can generate this error, and a copy of the entire error msg.
