A clue. Perhaps.

All the directory aliases point to C:\ and MariaH, the user on the Guest (VPC). And, I left the default option for backup files in CometUESetup.exe stand. The only option that points to the Host is Configuration.

SSASD32 is the Host, user LucyF.
SSASD33 is the Guest, user MariahF.
All the records in the UEDIT.INI point to C:\Users\MariahF.
In COSW.INI the "Working Directory is "\\SSASD32".
There are separate installs of UE.

Doing a compile on the Host sends out this command ...

"C:\Users\LucyF~1.SSA\AppData\Local\Temp\Console.exe" /c "C:\Comet\Customer\STD\CL.IBS" /t /R

Doing a compile on the Guest sends out this command ...

"\\SSASD32\Mariah~1.SSA\AppData\Local\Temp\Console" /c "\\SSASD32\Comet\Customer\STD\CL.IBS" /t /R

The 1st half of the command is invalid.

1) MariahF isn't a user on SSASD32. That's LucyF.
2) MariahF's path should be to C: not SSASD33

The command, I think, should be ...

"C:\Users\Mariah~1.SSA\AppData\Local\Temp\Console.exe" /c "\\SSASD32\Comet\Customer\STD\CL.IBS" /t /R

a) is COSW.INI the source of the problem?
b) would making LucyF the user on the Guest help?
c) would mapped drive for \\SSASD32|Comet help?
