For 20 years my cash receipt program after printing has renamed the KRE file to KR+ a batch no. for archiving. If when setting up the initial batch no you didn't put a high order "1" the program would strip the leading zeros off the number and try to rename the file to "KR 1234",good old comet would make that "KRQQ1234", c'est la vie, who cares. C32 cares, the invalid character translation stuff isn;t there now so it renames it to the original attempt "KR 1234" which windoes creates as "KR", next time you update a batch of cash it tries to do the same and voila, EXCp. file already exists. Easy fix after a week of swearing, after twenty years it is sometimes hard to remember your original logic.
MORAL. laziness will come back and bite you on the bum , one day.
