My customers have various versions of pdfFactory (2-4). No pressing need to upgrade or switch to "Comet PDF". Until now.
At one customer, one user usually runs the billing. First pass prints the hard copy. The second pass creates single page PDF's, assignes them a document number, and copies them to an archive. From whence they can be recalled in Comet.
That user had their XP PC swapped out for a Win7 64 PC. On the new PC, after 2, 3, 4, and sometimes more print jobs, the # buffer gets returned empty and crashes the FileCopy. The kind of symptom I'd expect on an old PC. Not on a new Win 7. The PDF process can be run from other XP PC's using Ver 3. And from the CAW Host, on the Win 8 server, using Ver 4.
Upgraded to "Comet PDF" and all is fine.
Each file can be a maximum of 1MB in length Uploaded files will be purged from the server on a regular basis.
