if you are a "90 year old".... this should be familiar:

INT(YYMMDD * 100.0001) => MMDDYY
INT(MMDDYY * 10000.01) => YYMMDD

I understand that this was so prevalent in MMDDYY countries that searching for the "magic constants" was useful for finding date conversions.....
