[SPOOLERS]
Spool = SPL,$(LTL);
Spool = SPA,$(LTA);

[DIRECTORIES]
62 = C ,\\ALLSYS2\DATA2\COMET\ARCHIVE\SPA\;
63 = C ,\\ALLSYS2\DATA2\COMET\ARCHIVE\SPL\;

[PRINTERS]
;--------------- SPECIAL PRINTERS ------------------------------
Printer = LPH,H, N, ,HTM,HTMLPTR,;
Printer = LPT,X, N, ,TXT,EXTPTR,;
Printer = LPP,P, N, ,COMET-PDF,,;

Printer = LTL,X ,X,SPL:TXTSPL,TXT,EXTPTR,;
Printer = LTA,X ,X,SPA:TXTSPA,TXT,EXTPTR,;

ran a program under /16 and /32 and both times got notepad to popup with the proper printed output.... however, when I closed notepad, could find neither hide nor hair of the printed output

just to be sure, deleted/cleared out all the txt and pdf archives, commented out everything else pertaining to printing other than the lines above, SYSGENed and got the same result... notepad pops up, and then I can't find anything in the archives... they remain empty

for the record, I did have a file dated 08/15/2012 in the txt archive, from a test I did last week, but that was before I upgraded to 465 (because I intended to test out pdf archive printing, and saw a post about pdf print problems under 464)

TXTSPL and TXTSPA both exist but are empty.... EXTPTR.obj seems to exist in the right directory.

programs run correctly as either /16 or /32, and where programs dump run totals to a file "RUNTOT", I can look at run totals using Maintenance in COMETEX and verify that processing on new server is going fine.

it's just that confidence in /32 is low because I can't demonstrate "regular" printing.

Thanx

Bob "A"

P.S. did a run where I specified printer LTL instead of spooler SPL.... same result :(
