Tom. If you are running Comet 2008 or higher there are plenty of printer mnemonic's to create a nice "pretty" invoice using the email printer.
However if you are not it can be a real challenge. I had this challenge keeping a customer that wouldn't upgrade so I had to sneak in the back door and do all kinds of crazy things.
I built a html invoice "master copy". Inserted keywords in the html code for all the variables that change, ie:
[CUSTOMERNAME]. I read this file replacing the variables and create a "new" html file for each invoice. Then I create a dos ".bat" command file that converts the html code for each invoice to pdf using "htmltopdf.exe".
It's not pretty, a lot of work, but gets the job done.
