Bob, you are over thinking/complicating this operation.
You do not need an ini file because a remote session is not a node. It talks to the CA host node.

Yes, you install all the comet software.
But, you code the properties using /net: instead of /pn=.

If your CA host machine were named "CAHOST", you would code the property of the shortcut...

Target C:\comet\comet.exe /net:cahost

Thats all there is to it.
