The UTL version 9.02 had changes in it so the Reporter would no longer use a SORT gateway. Therefore, programs generated by any Reporter since then should run under either Comet16 or Comet32 if they were built using Comet16.
I did reproduce your problem. It has nothing to do with the Reporter! The problem is the EXIT at the end of the generated program. If you RUN it you should get E66 - Exit Without Enter but there is a pending ERRORTO in the program. Comet32 is not handling this properly. So instead of getting the full error message box an empty one is being displayed and the ERRORTO code is not called. Can of worms..... :-(
