Well, a big Thanks for that tip Craig! I used it here on my Win 7 desktop with Office 2007 and it worked just fine. I created the expressions on my end-user's #CFiles and ran it there & was very close. They are on Excel 2003. Excel 2003 does leave the data alone with the hex 01's, but it does display a square box at the beginning & end of the field.
So I'm close, but not quite perfecto yet. Thanks again!
