Handling of editmasks in Comet32 should make programming easier. Comet32 edit masks accommodate longer or shorter formats than the underlying variable. The only thing that matters is alignment of the decimal point.
Here's a quote from a wise "old" guy on this very forum, complaining about editmasks in Comet16:
"Why then do I have to count on my fingers and toes to setup an editmask? (Bear in mind that if I do it wrong I get slammed at EXECUTION time, at EXECUTION time!)" (Sounds like Steve Auerbach, doesn't it?)
