Random error 91

I am getting random error 91 - Invalid system call.
Comet 32 (465) compiled in 16 running under HyperV on Win server 2008.
I pass an invoice, order, quote # in common and then do an extract.
I would have maybe expected an error 32 but I get no key in the error message.
This is a very random error.
My file descriptors in the .ini file is 120.
Should I increase this? What is the maximim?
