I am having problems compiling with Ultra Edit.
Here is what happened.
I had no compile problems when my Source directory in Comet was configured in the Comet.INI File as
95 = C ,\\Production\TMS_Apps\SOURCEDFS\MAXWELL\MEMONEW\;
I had to change my Source Directory to:
95 = C ,\\Production\TMS_Apps\PDF\CG\SOURCEDFS\IBSOURCE\MAXWELL\MEMONEW\;
The path exceeded the 60 byte limitation which caused Comet not find the directory.
I created a Share for
\\Production\TMS_Apps\PDF and assigned it to Drive Y
I changed the Comet INI File to read:
95 = C ,Y:\cg\SourceDFS\ibsource\maxwell\memonew\;
Sometimes my program compiles, but most of the time I get an error that Comet Directories are not found.
I now have to click the compile Icon 3 - 10 times before the program compiles.
Often the compile Window displays:
Comet Utility Console Version 1.05
Processing command file j:\pdf\cg\SOURCE~1\IBSource\maxwell\memonew\%WW-MP.IBS
Where is the 'J' coming from? The drive is mapped as 'Y'.
On a hunch I copied the "memonew" directory to
,\\Production\TMS_Apps\TEST\MEMONEW\;
I modified my INI File as
95 = C ,\\Production\TMS_Apps\TEST\MEMONEW\;
and am able to compile without problem.
It seems that Comet/UE compiling is spotty when directories are mapped to drive letters instead of UNC Names. Can this be corrected? If not can the path size be increased to 128 for long UNC Names?
I am compiling under Comet 16.
Any help would be appreciated.
